Some more drawings of my first and only attempt to ever create a near-future cyberpunk tale, many years ago. If I remember correctly the story is about a sick prodigy genius boy living "20 minutes in the future" who falls into what he believes is a comatose state and awakes after 60 years in a totally altered cyberpunkish ultra-dystopian world. He comes into contact with the SOCA, the "Society of Creative Anachronism", a weird rebel alliance, who believes that most of the recent history has never taken place, but instead all digital records (there are no non-digital records left) were altered for some unknown reason, especially the ones from the Time of Chaos and the Age of Reconstruction, in the second half of the 21st century. The boy Andrew, who - strangely - looks and feels twenty years older then at the time when he supposedly fell into coma, decides to help them in their struggle but is rather unsure about their agenda.
After quite some hassle with local bio-enhanced transhuman gang members and cyborized trigger-happy corporate mercenaries, a special team of SWAT mechas, thought to be disbanded since the age of Reconstruction, charges the SOCA- headquarter. Our heroes have to flee in their fancy 2095- version of an suburban SUV, fully bulletproof and armored, with thermal imaging cameras and - of course - guns! Lots of guns!
Man, driving lessons in the year 2101 must be hell.
