Ninurta - Parade of villains

Description

Some of the villains and antagonists of the Ninurta story

(top): Great Emperor Indracal: current ruler of the kingdom of Akzash, won the throne after the death of his sister, Queen Narisah, and her husband Nahuarin, the last emperor of Akzash, almost twenty years ago. Indracal is stern, strict, and ruthless, but at least he is trying to prevent the crumbling, decaying empire from falling apart. He despises Ninurta, the illegitimate daughter of Narisah, but doesn't consider her too much of a threat.

(top left): Thorn Wrath Boar, the chieftain of the mighty Fangorrin tribe that rules over the central parts of Fomor. To forge a union between the two warring clans of Mabion and Fangorrin, Thorn promised his eldest daughter, Gwydryn of Gruachan (a.k.a. Gwynn), to Balor Blood Axe, chieftain of the Mabion clan.

(to right): Balor Blood Axe, the young chieftain of the mighty Mabion tribe that rules over the barren and chilly northeast of Fomor, and is supposed to marry Gwynn.

(bottom middle): Lord Kulkuan, formerly a barbarian warrior, now in service of the Great Emperor of Akzash. He is emperor Indracal's personal advisor and counselor, spying and scheming for him, but it becomes obvious during the story that he has his own agenda.

(bottom right): Prince Arngrim, sun of king Asmund. He is called the prince of the Five Seas, because his father's kingdom, the island of Chrakk, is surrounded by five seas (The Ice Blue Ocean, the Always Winter Sea, the Grinding Sea, the Holmsea, and the Bitter Sweet Ocean). Prince Angrim nominally leads the expedition of the Northlings into the Southern Seas to claim new land and living space for the people of Chrakk. Arngrim is bossy, short-tempered and obviously overburdened with the task of leading a small army of sea demons.

(bottom left) Lord Assargul, "the Emperor's trader". He grew rich as money lender, concealer, trafficker, and so on, until - at present day - he controls most of what's left of trade in the kingdom of Akzash. He is also the favorite of Lady Shirbina, financially supporting her countless petty intrigues.

Also, see in the background Gruachan, seat of the Fangorrin tribe (left) and the Emperor's palace (right, the Owl Tower is still too big, the Great Pyramid is still too small)
